Corporate Australia is being challenged to test its teamwork, resilience and competitive spirit while raising funds for Para-athletes when the Para Tough Cup returns soon.

Registrations are now open for the Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane editions of the Para Tough Cup, a fun and high-energy corporate challenge where organisations go head-to-head in Para-sports, guided by some of Australia’s leading Paralympians.

An initiative delivered by Paralympics Australia, the Para Tough Cup is no ordinary team-building session. It is important way to generate funds and support for the Australian Paralympic Team.

With many team slots already purchased, only a limited number of places remain for organisations to be part of this meaningful and impactful experience. Places are filling fast.

“This is about more than just fun,” Paralympics Australia Chief Executive Officer Cameron Murray said.

“The Para Tough Cup gives people a chance to experience Paralympic sport and learn more about what our athletes put themselves through to compete at the elite level.

“This is one of those rare events where people walk away saying, ‘That was the best team day we’ve ever had. Don’t miss your chance to secure a spot – when they’re gone, they’re gone.”

Registrations are now open for the Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane editions of the Para Tough Cup.

“At Paralympics Australia, we love delivering these events and providing teams from the corporate world with the opportunity to understand more about the teamwork and resilience required for Para-sport, and to take those lessons back to the workplace. It’s an unforgettable experience.”

Each event will feature Paralympians who know what it takes to perform on the world stage. Melbourne competitors will be joined by Jess Gallagher, the only Australian female Paralympian to win medals at both Summer and Winter Games.

Sydney’s event will be led by six-time Paralympian Tristan Knowles (wheelchair basketball) and Tokyo 2020 goalball player Amy Ridley, while Brisbane will feature another goalball star, Raissa Martin, who competed at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, as well two-time Paralympic wheelchair basketballer Matt McShane.

Knowles said the event is a great way to connect more Australians to the Paralympic Movement ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Games.

“We want to get as many people involved on the ride with us on our journey to Brisbane 2032,” he said. “Days like the Para Tough Cup highlight the importance of teamwork, culture and continual growth. Plus, we’re exposing people to different Paralympic athletes that have overcome huge adversity and found a way to be successful.”
