We’re looking for a multi-talented tech master to join our fun and highly innovative Team at the Australian Paralympic Committee.

The role is for those passionate about IT – an experimenter and tinkerer, who likes exploring how things work and how to improve them. The role requires understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft cloud, but it is not a typical IT Support role. The role is people-focused with an emphasis on customer service, internal staff support and innovative solutions across several IT aspects of the business. It will suit someone that has all round IT skills from laptops and mobiles to cloud services and innovation systems.

Reporting to the General Manager, IT Operations this role supports the IT operations of the business, ensuring staff and systems operate smoothly, and that new innovations are undertaken to improve IT systems and promote more efficient day to day operations. You must be competent with the fundamentals of business IT systems including:

• Active Directory/File and Print
• Exchange/Outlook/Office 365
• User and Mailbox Management (Creation, Access, Password)
• Windows 7, 8 or 10
• Dell and Lenovo Laptops
• Apple iPhone and Android Phone
• Basic Networking and Wifi
• Remote Support (TeamViewer)
• Ticketing Systems

The Australian Paralympic Committee is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Finance division for a 12-month Maternity Leave role.

This is an opportunity to contribute to an outstanding and unique Australian sporting organisation with an enviable record of success on the world stage.

The Manager, Finance is responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial management reports to ensure completion in a timely manner. The role is also responsible for the preparation and monitoring of budgets and cash flow forecasts, maintaining all accounting records management and maintenance of the APC accounting software and payroll services.

Selection criteria

To be considered for the position, you must submit a cover letter which addresses the criteria and upload this and your CV as part of the application process:

  • Essential

o   Accounting Degree or equivalent;

o   3 years’ experience in a finance management role;

o   Experience in preparation of Annual Financial Reports;

o   Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external agencies;

o   Personal maturity and a proven capacity to work with confidential information;

o   Good time management skills and an ability to work under pressure;

o   Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite of software programs;

o   An ability to work as part of a team or independently, as required;

o   Good Issues resolution skills;


  • Desirable

o   Experience in Not For Profit Organisations;

o   Reckon accounting software experience;

o   Fix assets management;

o   Financial Fundraising experience;

o   Acquittal process experience;

o   Payroll experience;

o   Salary Packaging experience;

The Australian Paralympic Committee is responsible for the delivery of the Australian team for the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games to be held in Pyeongchang, Korea.  It is likely that the core programs will be Para-alpine skiing and Para-snowboard.  Ski and Snowboard Australia (SSA) deliver all aspects of athlete planning, training programming and preparation of the Australian athletes for these Games.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Sports Physicians and Physiotherapists to support our programs during 2017 and 2018.  This is likely to involve domestic and international travel.
