Bio

Sarah Vinci made her charge into the Gliders team at just the right time and was part of the silver medal winning team at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The talented youngster came onto the international scene in 2011 and has quickly become part a regular fixture in the Gliders line-up.

The West Australian made her debut for Australia at the 2011 Osaka Cup in Japan, winning a silver medal on her first international trip. She was later selected in the Australian under 25s team that competed in the inaugural U/25 Women’s World Wheelchair Championships.

Sarah has made a name for herself with the Perth Western Stars in the WNWBL, playing with her hometown team since 2009. She won the 2010 Kevin Coombs Cup as part of the triumphant West Australian team, beating NSW 63-58 in the final.

Sarah has completed a certificate IV in digital media at TAFE, providing a possible glimpse at her post wheelchair basketball career.
