Current Opportunities

 

Paralympics Australia are establishing a national-level independent Intentional Misrepresentation Panel and are seeking expression of interest from experienced individuals with backgrounds in:

• Sports law
• Classification in Para sport
• Investigations
• Sport industry, this could include (retired) athletes, classifiers, coaches, medical professionals, sports scientists, or administrators.

The Panel will operate independently of PA, NSO/NSODs and other associated organisations. Its role is to ensure that all national level IM cases are dealt with fairly and consistently and in accordance with relevant policies.

Intentional Misrepresentation Independent Panel - Classification Member
To be considered you will be able to demonstrate a minimum of five years’ involvement at a national or international level as either a current or past Classifier, Classification Advisor or Classification Sport Manager/Administrator or role with equivalent expertise, coupled with your experience of sitting on sports tribunals, panels or case management groups and knowledge of best practice in conducting disciplinary proceedings, and particularly those of NSO/NSODs.

Intentional Misrepresentation Independent Panel - Investigations Member
To be considered you will be able to demonstrate experience in cross examining and/or interviewing witnesses as required and have recent experience of undertaking investigations and of compiling reports. You will have experience of sitting on sports tribunals, panels, or case management groups, along with knowledge of best practice in conducting disciplinary proceedings, and particularly those of NSO/NSODs.

Intentional Misrepresentation Independent Panel - Legal Member
To be considered for this role you are qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister, Judge or Qualified Arbitrator of at least seven years standing, with experience of sitting on sports tribunals, panels, or case management groups. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of best practice in conducting disciplinary proceedings, and particularly those of NSO/NSODs

Intentional Misrepresentation Independent Panel - Sport Industry Member

To be considered you will be able to demonstrate a minimum of five years’ involvement at a national or international level in high performance sport, coupled with your experience of sitting on sports tribunals, panels or case management groups and knowledge of best practice in conducting disciplinary proceedings, and particularly those of NSO/NSODs.
