Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about - Oscar Wilde
Celine Vinot’s goal is to show the world that having a disability doesn’t stop anyone from achieving their goals if they have the drive and determination, something she has in spades.
When the Victorian finished school in 2014, she was looking for a sport that she could play while studying.
Celine was born with cerebral palsy but has never let it hold her back.
She found out that Badminton Victoria were starting a Para-badminton program and went along one day to try out, where she fell in love with the sport.
In 2018, Celine was the XD winner, Yonex Geelong SL3/4 singles winner and Victorian Para-badminton championships SL3/4 winner at the National Championships.
She also took out a bronze and silver at the Oceania Championship in 2020.
Her ultimate goal though has always been to get to a Paralympic Games, and although she missed out on Tokyo, Celine is focussed on the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
