Para – Spinneroos Program (Para-table tennis)

Para Spinneroos is a fun table tennis program designed for children with a disability.

Para Spinneroos is being offered for the first time in Term 4 2023. The program is being supported by an ACT Government grant (2023 Disability Inclusion Grants) to encourage more children with a disability to play sports. The Grant subsidises participant registration by $40 per participant (instead of $120).

Children who register for the 8-week program will receive:
❖ a Spinneroos kit with a t-shirt, bat and balls; and
❖ Eight 1 hour Para-Spinneroos sessions during Term 4 2023 at the Kingston Table Tennis Centre. Friday 4-5 pm, starting 13 October 2023

Para Spinneroos modifies an existing program (Spinneroos – an entry-level program developed by Table Tennis Australia) to better suit the needs of children with a disability.

Students (aged 5 – 18) with physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities, or learning difficulties are encouraged to try Para Spinneroos. The focus of Para Spinneroos is on FUN and INCLUSION.
