Frank’s Story

Off the court, Frank Pinder is a whiz with computers, smartphones and technology.

So much so, he now works for a new start-up in Perth offering affordable smart accessible technology solutions to people with disabilities.

His mission to help and inspire those with a disability includes not only his basketball community but anyone doubting they have the potential to succeed.

Frank broke his back when he was fifteen and still at school and now uses a wheelchair for mobility. His fractures were complex and he spent three months on his back in rehabilitation.

After his accident, Frank turned to sport and study, he’s now a keen wheelchair basketball player and has a digital art qualification.

He currently plays for Perth in the national league, and his tenacity earned him a spot on the Australian Rollers team.

The West Australian made his World Championship debut at the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation’s (IWBF) World Championships in Dubai.
