Dr Renae Domaschenz made her Australian Rowing Team debut in 2018 as the coxswain of the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four. She has worked as a Medical Research Fellow at the Australian National University and as a high performance rowing coach for the ACT Academy of Sport while fulfilling her national team duties. Most recently she has taken up the position of Sports Director for Canberra Girls Grammar School where she hopes to inspire and drive passion for elite sport among young women.
Renae cites Cambridge as her favourite place to row, a somewhat unsurprising choice as she is a former coxswain for the Cambridge University Boat Club and coxed for Cambridge in the famous Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race when she was studying her PhD in the UK.

Renae is also the coach of current world champion and Paralympian Kathryn Ross, who competed at her fourth Paralympics at Tokyo 2020.
