R.M.Williams has announced that it will once again design and create official uniforms for the Australian Paralympic Team, ahead of the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.
This latest partnership marks the eighth consecutive Paralympic Games for which the iconic Australian brand has supplied uniforms, following successful collaborations for Australian Paralympic Teams at every summer and winter Games since Vancouver 2010. The brand’s extensive support of Australia’s sporting teams also includes the supply of uniforms for the two most recent Commonwealth Games and a multi-year partnership with Rugby Australia.
“We’re incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Paralympics Australia and showcase our unique national spirit on a global stage. The determination and true grit of Australia’s Paralympic Teams are qualities that we can all take inspiration from, and we look forward to kitting them out for a confident return to Paralympic competition in Paris,” comments Paul Grosmann, R.M.Williams Chief Executive Officer.
The uniforms, which will be officially unveiled in 2024, will take cues from iconic R.M.Williams products as well as celebrating Australian culture and honouring the brand’s ongoing commitments to local craftsmanship. A refreshed range of separates in an earthy take on the green and gold palette will ensure the athletes feel a blend of practical comfort and national pride as they step out on the world stage. Australian made belts and socks will complete the look, alongside hats from Akubra, also crafted on Australian shores.
To ensure accessibility for each athlete, thoughtful adjustments have been made across the collection of apparel, accessories and footwear, including easy fastenings, elasticated waist bands and a transition from button-up shirts to elevated polos.
The Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games will run from 28 August to 8 September 2024.
