It’s been an ideal start to 2020 for Para-alpine skiier Patrick Jensen, who has picked up three bronze medals over two World Cup events.

Together with his sighted guide, Amelia Hodgson, Jensen won two bronze medals in two days at the 2020 World Para-alpine Skiing World Cup in Prato Nevoso, Italy, to add to the bronze medal he won at the opening World Cup of the year in Switzerland.

Jensen said that he’s enjoying skiing with Hodgson, a recent pairing that has been reaping the rewards of hard work.

“We’re working really well together,” Jensen said. “We’re skiing in sync, which is nice, and bringing it back to fundamentals has made a big difference.

“We’ve been working on the simple things and making them work well together.”

The pair will now head to Slovenia for the World Cup in Kranjska Gora.

“We’re off to Slovenia in a couple of days, and my focus is to keep going with the fundamentals,” Jensen said.

“I’m hoping to not have too many expectations heading into the race, and hopefully the results will come.”
