Name: Jack Swift

Role:  Paralympian Services Lead

Interesting fact about you?

Since retiring from Paralympic sport in 2016, I have worked within the professional and high-performance sport system with one of the most rewarding parts of my career supporting Paralympians as they navigate major life transitions and pursue new goals after sport.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time with family and friends, watching sport, and exploring the outdoors. I also love hearing people’s stories and learning about what drives them to achieve their goals.

What is your role at PA?

As Paralympian Services Lead, I oversee programs and initiatives that support Paralympians throughout their athlete journey and beyond. A key focus is helping our Paralympians access opportunities for personal and professional development, wellbeing support, education, employment pathways, and connection to our community.

What is your favourite part about your role?

My favourite part of the role is working directly with Paralympians and seeing the impact that the right support can have on their lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to help Para athletes thrive both on and off the sporting stage.

What are you most excited about for the next year of the Beyond Sport program?

Through our Beyond Sport program, we’re seeing increasing demand for career development, mentoring, education and networking opportunities for Paralympians. I’m excited about helping even more athletes build the skills, confidence and connections they need to achieve their goals beyond sport.

Why should someone donate to PA?

Donating to Paralympics Australia helps create life-changing opportunities for people with disability through sport. Your support helps Para athletes pursue excellence and provide programs enabling them to make a meaningful impact in their communities and build successful futures after sport.

Is there anything you would like to say to our generous donors?

On behalf of our Paralympians and the wider Paralympic community, thank you for believing in what’s possible and for being part of their journey. Your support makes a life-changing difference.

Paralympics Australia is only able to continue doing its work driving the Paralympic Movement forward in Australia because of the generous support it receives from Government, Corporate Partners and donors.

The focus continues to be on delivering teams to each Summer and Winter Paralympic Games and supporting Para athletes as they enter and progress through the Para sport system and into their post-sporting careers.
