Paralympics Australia (PA) has strengthened its governance by appointing Dr Amanda Green to its Board of Directors.
Dr Green is an accomplished board director and senior executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across some of Australia’s leading organisations.
Currently Chief People Officer at Inghams Group, Dr Green is widely recognised for her expertise in organisational psychology, culture transformation and human capital strategy with past leadership roles across the retail, health, consultancy, logistics, banking, telecommunications and sport industries.

The appointment follows a comprehensive recruitment process after the departure of long-serving board members Alison Creagh AM CSC, Rebecca Frizelle OAM and Tim Carmody AM during 2025.
With Paralympics Australia amid a significant period of organisational change and growth due to the Para System Uplift ahead of Brisbane 2032, Paralympics Australia President Grant Mizens said Dr Green is set to make a significant contribution to the organisation and the wider Paralympic movement.
“Amanda is a highly respected executive and leader whose experience in organisational performance, culture and people strategy will be an enormous asset to Paralympics Australia during what is an exciting period heading towards Brisbane 2032,” Mizens said.
“Amanda has a clear understanding of the unique position of our organisation as well as the environment and culture of sport.”
“Adding a Director of Amanda’s calibre to our Board strengthens our capability as we continue our push to take full advantage of the many opportunities, while tackling the many challenges, that hosting a Paralympic Games in Australia brings.”
Dr Green said she was honoured to join the Paralympics Australia Board.
“The Paralympic Movement has a unique ability to create impact well beyond sport,” Dr Green said.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to contribute my experience and work alongside the Board and leadership team to support Paralympics Australia’s continued growth and long-term success.”
Dr Green joins the Board, helmed by Mizens and comprising of Paralympians Ellie Cole AM PLY, Curtis McGrath OAM PLY and Matthew Nicholls PLY along with Vice Presidents Kate Jones and Michael Bushell AM.
