The International Tennis Federation has confirmed the dates and venues for the 2020 World Team Cup, with Portugal set to host the finals of the flagship wheelchair tennis team event for the first time.

The finals will be hosted by the Portugese Tennis Federation on 4-10 May at the Vilamoura Tennis Academy. The Vilamoura Tennis Academy was previously host of the World Team Cup European Qualification from 2017 to 2019.

The 2020 World Team Cup finals will, once again, feature men’s, women’s, quad and junior draws.

The winners of the men’s and women’s events at each of the four regional competitions will earn qualification for their respective events at the 2020 World Team Cup.

New for 2020, two regional qualification events for the quad draw will be held, combining teams from Europe and Africa, and the Americas, Asia and Oceania. Dates and venues for both events will be confirmed in due course.

The nations that achieved a top 10 result in the men’s event, top eight result in the women’s event, top six result in the quad event, and top four result in the junior event at the 2019 World Team Cup in Ramat HaSharon, Israel, earn direct entry for the 2020 edition.

For the second year in a row, the Asian Qualification, hosted by the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia, will be held at the National Tennis Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
