Paralympic gold medallist Katie Kelly (PTV1) produced a solid swim, bike and run performance to grab silver with guide Brianna Silk at the 2019 ITU World Para-triathlon Series in Yokohama, Japan. It was Silk’s first real test of international competition and she passed with flying colours.

Equal to the task for the men was Jonathan Goerlach (PTV1), who won silver with his guide, Sam Douglas.

Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Lauren Parker finished with a hard-fought bronze after a disrupted preparation following back surgery eight weeks ago. Crossing the line just under a minute behind gold medallist and Commonwealth Games champion Jade Hall (GBR), Parker shaved nearly five minutes off the time she set this time last year at the 2018 World Series in Yokohama.

In other results, Nic Beveridge (PTWC) finished in fourth place, Emily Tapp (PTWC) and Josh Kassulke (PTS5) in seventh, and Clint Pickin (PTS4) in eighth.
