11 medals at the 2015 Para-cycling Track World Championships – Australia’s best are looking good ahead of the 2016 Paralympic Games!

Matt Formston NSW & pilot Michael Curran NSW (5)The 2016 Para-cycling Nationals will feature Championships in the individual time trial and individual pursuit; plus the Tandem time trial, pursuit and sprint.

Reigning world champions Alistair Donohoe (VIC), Sue Powell (ACT) and Michael Gallagher (VIC) plus 2012 Paralympic gold medallist David Nicholas (QLD) headline the individual events.  Also lining up is 2012 world champion and London Paralympic bronze medallist Alex Green (NSW), plus fellow 2012 Paralympic Games medallist Simone Kennedy (NSW).

In the Tandem events, three-time reigning 4km individual pursuit Paralympic gold medallist Kieran Modra (SA) & pilot David Edwards (QLD), 2014 world champions Matt Formston (NSW) & pilot Michael Curran (NSW) and 2012 Paralympic Silver medallist Bryce Lindores (QLD) & pilot Mark Jamieson (TAS) headline a superb field.

The women’s Tandem will feature two-time Paralympian Lindy Hou (ACT) who will be piloted by Sydney Olympian Kerry Knowler (ACT), and 2014 Commonwealth Games bronze medallists Brandie O’Connor (ACT) & pilot Breanna Hargrave (SA).

  • Thursday 17 December – Pursuit; Tandem Sprint
