With the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games set to begin this Friday 7th March, the 2014 Australian Paralympic Winter Team Media Guide is now available online for all media covering the Games.

With comprehensive athlete profiles, past international results, Team facts and figures, and Australia’s history at the Paralympic Winter Games, the Guide is your one-stop-shop for covering all the events in Sochi. The Guide also includes important media contact information for Australian media wishing to speak to members of the Team.
The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games will be broadcast on ABC1 with daily highlights packages at 10:30am and 6:00pm (AEDST), complemented with live online streaming of events at www.abc.net.au/grandstand. ABC1 will also broadcast the Opening Ceremony live from 3:00am (AEDST) on Saturday 8th March, with Australia’s first competition in the men’s and women’s downhill set to get underway later that day.
Australia has sent a Team of nine athletes and two sighted guides to the Sochi Games. The Team also includes three Para-snowboarders for the first time, who will contest the very first snowboard cross event at the Paralympic Winter Games.
