The Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) and Cycling Australia (CA) are seeking expressions of interest for two roles with specific focus towards the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

The first role is a female tandem pilot to pilot vision impaired athlete Jessica Gallagher who won a bronze medal in Rio.  The second role is a vision impaired male athlete between the ages of 18 to 28.  The specific events that are being targeted are track cycling match sprint and the 1 kilometre time trial.

Both roles do not need to come from existing cyclists, but can be athletes wishing to change sports or people wanting to realise their true potential via the sporting landscape.

With a focus on innovation in high performance sport the VIS and CA are encouraging past or present cyclists, athletes from other sports or people who believe they have the ability to take on the role to consider this opportunity. If interested please contact us (via email) for further information.

Please submit expression of interest to VIS Head Cycling Coach, Glenn Doney glenn.doney@vis.org.au by COB 9th December 2016.
