Bio

Sebastian Hume, who was born with cerebral palsy, is a confident young shooter who has risen to become one of the Australian shooting teams’ youngest athletes. He made his first Australian team at the age of 17 when he was selected for the Australian Open team at the European Championships.

Sebastian has three Australian Junior Team Championships in air pistol and sports pistol in able bodied competition, as his disability does not stop him competing in able bodied competition. He believes he is a true individual and says that one of the main reasons for his enjoyment and success in shooting is because it is an individual sport and he doesn’t have to rely on other people.

The Beijing Paralympics was the greatest experience of Sebastian’s life. He was two points below his PD at an international level and also loved the atmosphere despite being a bundle of nerves at his first event. He is also currently studying a bachelor of science at Adelaide University.

Sebastian loves listening to metal rock music, with his pick being the band Dragonforce. He is currently studying a bachelor of science at Adelaide University which he plans to finish before concentrating on hitting the target in London.
