Capture_8The Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) and Australian Wikipedians are holding a meet-up at the National Tennis Centre, Melbourne Park on the 2nd and 3rd May 2015.

The History of the Paralympic Movement in Australia is a project to create, update and maintain Wikipedia articles about Australia at the Paralympics, including the history of the Paralympic movement in Australia, Australian Paralympic teams, athletes, significant events, and the classification systems for Paralympic sport.

More than 900 articles have been created since the project began in 2011, and you can be part of it!

The workshop purpose:
– Introduce new editors and meet up with existing editors (though introductory sessions and mentoring)
– Review and update articles about the 2000 Sydney Paralympics

Who: New and experienced editors

Guest Presenter: Wikimedia Australia committee member and educator Pru Mitchell

Date and Times: Saturday 2 May 2015 – 11.00am-1pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm & Sunday 3 May 2015 –  9.00am-12.00 noon

Come for the whole weekend or come for as long as you can spare!

Catering: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, as well as tea and coffee provided!
