The opening day of the World Para-alpine skiing World Cup in Veysonnaz, Switzerland delivered more medals for Australia, with Melissa Perrine and Christian Geiger finishing on the podium for the fourth time this series.
Adding a bronze medal to their silver from Saturday in the Women’s Giant Slalom Visually Impaired, the pair have enjoyed strong World Cup campaign as they continue to build towards the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Games in March.
In other results, 2018 Team co-captain Mitch Gourley placed ninth in the Men’s Giant Slalom Standing, and Jonty O’Callaghan (15th) and Mark Soyer (16) both recorded personal bests in their events.

Competition is set to resume tomorrow after racing was cancelled on day two due to dangerous weather.
