2012 Team Information
Nomination and Selection
The process of selection for the 2012 Australian Paralympic Team involves two stages. The first is nomination, where athletes are nominated by their National Federation to the APC to be considered for selection in the 2012 Team. Each nomination is made based on the National Federations Nomination Criteria. It is then the responsibility of the APC Board to Select the final 2012 Australian Paralympic Team. Selections to the 2012 Team are made in accordance with the APC’s General Selection Criteria.
All athletes must ensure they are familiar with both the APC’s General Selection Criteria and their individual National Federation’s Nomination Criteria.

Travel
The APC is responsible for the participation of the Australian Paralympic Team at London 2012 and one of the key aspects of this responsibility is to ensure travel is organised for all selected Team members to and from the Paralympic Games.
The 2012 Team Travel Policy details the APC’s policy obligations including the requirement that all Team members are to travel home on the APC scheduled charter flight on 11th September 2012.
Team Processing
As part of APC's preparation and planning for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, Team processing sessions were held in all major capital cities throughout April, May and June 2011. All athletes and officials identified on the London 2012 Shadow Squad were invited to attend a processing session in their home state. Team processing sessions provide the APC with an opportunity to collect each Squad member’s personal data, uniform sizes and photographs, all of which are required for the successful delivery of the 2012 Australian Paralympic Team. In 2011, Team processing involved approximately 450 athletes and officials across Australia
