Paralympic Workplace Diversity Program
The Paralympic Workplace Diversity Program (PWDP) is an initiative designed to help place Paralympic Preparation Program (PPP) athletes into employment which provides:
- A flexible work environment allowing for training and competition commitments
- Meaningful career opportunities matched with the athlete’s skills, experience and career goals
Workplace diversity involves recognising the value of individual differences and managing them in the workplace. As such, the PWDP aims to:
- Increase the number of people with disabilities within the Australian business community
- Enable Paralympic athletes to promote the Australian Paralympic Committee and the Paralympic movement
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the organisation
The PWDP is an initiative of the Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) in conjunction with the Federal Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services, Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA). The APC has appointed 360HR, a boutique recruitment and consulting organisation based in Sydney, to project manage the program.
The Paralympic Workplace Diversity Program helps Australian organisations to employ suitably matched athletes and benefit from the inclusion of these 'Diversity Ambassadors' in their workplace.

Athlete Testimonials
"360HR and the Paralympic Employment Program has helped me find a great employer - ANZ, who is supportive of my training needs and offers flexible working hours. 360HR advised me on how to prepare for the interview, which I nailed and was offered the job!"
Shane Brand
"Thank you 360HR for your support and perseverance in finding me the perfect job to fit in with my sporting career and commitments. By supporting Paralympic athletes off the field this enables us to perform at our best on the field."
Sarah Rose
"360HR were extremely helpful in keeping me up to date with what was going on and were happy to answer any of my questions at any time. Before my interview they made sure I was aware of what I could come up against in the interview and this made it much easier for me to be myself. I had never done an interview with a panel of people before so from the tips 360HR had given me I was much more prepared for anything that may have been thrown at me. The Paralympic Workplace Diversity Program is fantastic for the athletes who have joined it. My employer has been so supportive of my swimming and athletic career...everyone is happy."
