Wheelchair Rugby Classification

What are the Classes?
0.5 – 3.5 points: Players are classified into one of seven classes (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5) depending on their functional ability. Players with the higher level of disability on the court are allocated lower classification point values (eg 0.5 and 1.0 points). Players who have the lowest level of disability on the court are allocated a higher classification point value (eg 3.0 and 3.5 points). During the game, the total value of all the players on the court for a team cannot exceed eight points. This ensures that teams have a mix of players who have differing roles relating to their ability on the court.
